Data Sources

Simple Fund provides the largest number of data feeds in the superannuation industry. Data feeds provide Simple Fund clients with transaction data that automates SMSF processing, reduces costs and eliminates time consuming and error prone data input.

Data obtained from the data source is loaded into Simple Fund using the transaction upload feature which automatically allocates the transactions to ledger accounts. Where multiple sources are used, Simple Fund can automatically match investment and income transactions with the bank account transactions. Simple Fund also has extensive memorisation functions that ensure recurring transactions are automatically allocated in subsequent uploads.

ASX/UUT Data

BGL Client Services offers a comprehensive ASX and Managed Fund Data Service utilising the latest web technology to import ASX and Unlisted Unit Trust (UUT) data directly into your Simple Fund, Simple Invest and Simple Ledger software. Data is available on a daily, monthly quarterly, annual or ad hoc basis depending on your individual needs, and is available on an annual subscription basis.

Macquarie Data Feeds

Daily transaction data from Macquarie CMA and Macquarie Wrap can be automatically loaded into BGL’s Simple Fund software. BGL will support transaction data (including PDF’s of buy / sell notes) from Macquarie Prime Stockbroking in Quarter 4, 2011.

These data feeds are available free of charge to clients.

BankLink Data Feeds

Daily bank account transaction data from Banklink can currently be loaded into BGL’s Simple Fund software. This process can be semi-automated through Banklink’s Practice software. Banklink have advised fully automated web services will be available to BGL clients at the end of Quarter 2, 2012.

Contract Note Service

BGL will introduce a daily Contract Note data service at the end of Quarter 1, 2012. This service will provide data for buy and sell transactions (including PDF’s of buy / sell notes) from all Australian brokers.

This service will be available on a subscription basis. BGL estimates the price per fund per annum for this services will be $20.

Registry Data Service

Holding balances at a request date, dividend and distribution data, dividend and distribution statements (PDF’s) and year end tax statement data and statements (PDF’s) will be available in early 2012.

This service will be available on a per request basis. A request can include all or some of the data described above. BGL estimates the price per request for this service will be $15.

Other Data Feeds

BGL’s Simple Fund software supports data feeds from over 100 sources including Coin, OneVue, Praemium, Reward Super, SISS and Xplan. A full list can be found in Simple Fund and the Simple Fund help screens.

Working with multiple funds

BGL’s Simple Fund Automated Processing module allows unallocated transactions from data feeds to be reviewed and posted for multiple funds through a simple drag and drop interface. This module has been specifically designed for clients using automated data feeds with a large numbers of funds. This feature is unique to Simple Fund.
